Google reviews on your own website.
Design in BlitzRep, then add the code to your website once. Manage the widget’s appearance in BlitzRep from then on.
Choose a design
Open Settings → Review widget. Give the new widget a name and choose Create widget.
Choose a starting design, then adjust its font, colours and layout. Check the preview at a narrow width too.
Your website displays only your imported public Google reviews. Sample data is for design previews.
Save and publish
Enter your domain in Allowed websites, for example yritys.fi. Use one domain per line, without https:// or a page path. The www version is accepted automatically; add other subdomains separately.
Choose Save draft, then Publish draft. The embed code becomes available after your first publication.
Publish draft publishes the widget’s settings. Publish your website separately in its own editor.
Add to your website
Choose Copy code in BlitzRep. Add that code at the intended position on your website. Each widget has its own code; the illustration in this guide is not installable.
HTML · HTML / Embed
- Open the page HTML or your builder’s HTML / Embed block.
- Paste the code copied from BlitzRep where you want the reviews to appear.
- Save and publish the page.
Choose a block that runs JavaScript. A normal text block displays the code as text. If you cannot edit the website, give its maintainer your embed code and this guide.
Check the live page
Open the published page at its public URL. Scroll to the widget and check its appearance, reviews and carousel controls. Open the same page on your phone.
Return to the widget in BlitzRep and choose Reload saved version. Visible installation detected means a visibility event has been received. A preview or a copied code snippet alone does not confirm installation.
Website editors do not always run embeds. Always check the published page.
Next time, make your changes in BlitzRep.
Edit the widget, save its draft and publish it. Keep the same embed code. The published design appears on new page loads after a cache of up to five minutes expires. Reload an already open page. Reviews update when BlitzRep imports them from Google.
If the widget is not showing yet
The code appears as text or disappears on save
Use your platform’s HTML or code block. If script tags are removed, ask the administrator to check your permissions and website plan.
Nothing appears on the page
Check that the widget is published, the correct domain is allowed, widget access is active and Google reviews have been imported. Try including all ratings. Empty widgets stay hidden. If the code is present, ask the site maintainer to check that the site permits BlitzRep’s script, fonts and review requests.
My design change does not appear
Save draft does not change the published version. Choose Publish draft as well, wait up to five minutes and reload the page. Check that you are editing the widget installed on that page.
